Procurement Manager

As a Procurement Manager, you are expected to:
Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers of wood-based materials, including plywood, lumber, and engineered wood products.
Sourcing: Research and source new suppliers, both locally and internationally, to ensure competitive pricing and consistent supply.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with suppliers to maintain product quality, specifications, and compliance with industry standards.
Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers to secure favorable deals and maximize cost-efficiency.
Cost Management: Continuously assess market conditions and industry trends to make informed decisions that reduce procurement costs.
Supply Chain: Develop and maintain an efficient supply chain, ensuring timely delivery of wood materials to meet production demands.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in forestry, natural resources management, supply chain management, business, or a related field is often preferred.
Familiarity with timber harvesting, logging, and milling operations.
Knowledge of local and international wood markets, including wood species, quality standards, and pricing trends.
Awareness of sustainability practices and forest certification systems.
Strong negotiation and communication skills to establish relationships with suppliers and negotiate procurement agreements.
Analytical skills to evaluate supplier offerings, market conditions, and cost-effective procurement strategies.
